Two-Toned Jackets (The Biker-Trench)

That jacket (below) is so cool isn't it?! Want to stay warm and covered in a trench, with the tough style of a biker jacket? Well this one's for you!

Need:
-1 trench coat
-1 leather biker jacket
-fabric scissors
-thick black thread
-strong sewing machine needle (probably the strongest one you can find so that you can easily sew through the trench and leather)
-sewing machine
-sewing pins

*for this DIY project I didn't have the supplies right then but I thought it was such a neat project idea. So now I'm gonna do a "paper doll" example to show the steps.

*cool tip: once you mix and match your jacket sleeves you will have 2 mixed up jackets! Give one to a friend!

*examples of the jackets you will need.

STEP 1: cut off sleeves from both jackets right on the insides of the seams.

STEP 2: Switch the cut-off sleeves. (leather sleeves go with the trench coat, trench coat sleeves go with the leather jacket)

STEP 3: Fold the sleeve-holes on the jacket inwards about 1/4 inch for a clean line. Place and pin the sleeves on the inside of the jacket's arm holes. Make sure the jacket's arm hole rims are folded evenly (1/4 in) all the way around still.

STEP 4: Sew sleeves onto jacket.

Now you're done! Style the trench coat with leather sleeves with a knee-length summery dress and heels. With the leather jacket with trench coat sleeves, you can wear it with a jersey-knit maxi dress and ankle booties.

***If there is anything in this DIY that I didn't make clear or that isn't comprehensible (I tend to sometimes not make sense), just post a comment and I will try to answer by the next day!
