Supplies:
-24 gauge wire (need about 1 1/3 yard per necklace)
-assorted beads (the holes must be big enough for the wire to go through)
-needle-nose pliers w/ wire cutter
-waxed cotton cord (long enough to easily slip over your head, add extra length as desired)
1. Begin wrapping the wire in loose circles. Make the first few loops the same size. Gradually start looping smaller and smaller circles toward the middle.
2. Wrap almost to the center, then bring the end you were wrapping under the side of the "nest", up through the center, over the opposite side of the nest, then under and through the same side of the nest.
3. On the end you brought up out of the center of the loop, push 3 different sized beads onto the wire, and bend so that the beads are positioned as desired.
4. Tuck that end through some of the wire loops and out to the back of the nest to meet your beginning end of the wire, and twist together.
5. Clamp the twisted wire ends back so that nothing sticks out. Then clamp and curve some kinks in your wire loops, if any.
6. Make sure everything is smooth and tucked away nicely!
7. Using the pliers, bend outward a tiny section of one of the wire loops and string the cord through. Tie at the end with a knot, then a bow. You may want to add a few small dots of glue to the center of the bow so that it doesn't come undone. (When wearing this cute necklace, you can wear your hair up to show off the sweet bow that would lie at the back of your neck. What an adorable detail!)
*All the supplies were inexpensive. P.S. -the cutest beads you can use are vintage ones you can get at a thrift or antique store! That's where all of my beads were from. It only took me 15min to make one of these sweet necklaces! I spent all day yesterday making these for gifts for friends and family! Try it yourself :)
