I wish everyone a very happy holiday season! My family celebrates Christmas, and tonight is Christmas Eve! I'm excited to see family tonight, and more tomorrow. I absolutely love getting to spend time with everyone around a sparkling christmas tree covered in lights and ornaments and tinsel. And of course, waiting for scrumptious food and wonderful gifts is another favorite part of the holidays. I hear a lot of my family members are making home-made gifts this year, as am I. Like always, I've made lots of holiday desserts with my mom and brother and sister, and I also made jewelry for the women in my family. (I can't say what because some of them may be reading this!)
On another note, do any of you find that the holidays don't quite excite you as much as they did when you were a child? I find that all month I've been excited for family and visiting and the food and gifts, but I don't get as giddy with pure joy just at the thought of Christmas anymore. It's sad, to get older and lose some of that spirit. But on another hand, as I get older I get more excited for other things; my future, my goals and dreams. I'm curious, what do you get excited about?
