As Shakespeare once wrote, "All that glisters is not gold." In this recent project I did, that statement is true. I bought some gold spray paint (Rust-Oleum, bright coat, metallic finish works great), and then went a little crazy trying to think of all the things I could cover in shiny gold paint. All that I had time to transform yesterday were a few seashells I collected from a beach in Florida. Finally, a use for my buckets full of shells! So I sprayed a handful of shells with the gold spray paint, and this is how they turned out! Some I'm going to paint with THIS concept in mind, and some I'm going to use for necklaces and rings.

The gold seashell ring with the coral ring I made a long time back.
Aside from painting things gold, I also used up some scrap chain from a bracelet, ball chain, and a broken piece from another necklace to create this one. It hangs beautifully, and I can't wait for a chance to wear it!
I know this is random, but I am just really curious to know how you added that bar under the header? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I can easily explain how to do it, so it might be more helpful for you if you search through some of the blogger help articles. There are lots of articles on how to add widgets and such to your blog.
