Lace Dress Update #2

Ok, now that we have that settled, I've actually started on the lace part of the dress now!!! (2 weeks ago I did the slip, or under-neath part of my dress so that I don't show too much through my lace! ha ha.) Now I can say I am officially started and off to a good start, too. My grandmother is a great help when it comes to deciphering patterns and lengthy instructions. Let's just say she's been sewing for many more years than I have! But I'm a great learner, so it's going well. We predict that it will take us 3-5 more 3 hour sessions until it is completed (deadline is April 9th), but we will get it done! Just wish us a bit of luck... :) haha. Here is a photo of all of the fabric we cut out this past weekend (still attached to the patterns, though. Realize that some of the pieces are folded or are two layers we had to cut, so there's really more fabric than you see here.) Anyways, I can't wait to show you the finished product! Ta-ta for now! :)
