DIY INSPIRATION

Hot glue on a real or fake starfish onto a hair clip. Perfect for the beach!

Paint the bottom rim of your shoes in a vibrant color --S/S 2011 "here we come!"

Iron on a transfer image of a fancy bag onto a plain canvas bag.

Sew some ribbon to your heels to create a ballerina style ribbon-wrap heel.

Either iron on a transfer image similar to this, or hand paint with fabric paints onto your shirt.

Get a cute striped fabric and sew into a short, gathered skirt.

Get a black fabric and sew onto the inside part of the sleeve, poking out at the top, sewing close to the edge of the original cuff. Then, fold over the black fabric 2 or 3 times over the sleeve to show the new black cuff!

Get a sturdy yarn/cord and tie around 1 or 2 stones/rocks.

Paint colorful rings of color on wooden cuff bracelets/bangles.

Buy some faux or real leather and glue/sew on different gems, beads, and trinkets.

Put some studs on the wrists of your leather gloves.

Glue on some super cool studs onto your sunglasses. (or you can just use the concept of decorating sunglasses and decorate with other materials)

Transform an old denim jacket into something new with studs.

Get an old hat and clip on or sew a bunch of buttons and patches onto it to create a cool army chic look.

Get a cool pendant and chain and spray-paint both in the same color.

Transform a plain black tank top into something really cool. Get a mesh board or stencil of some sort, lay it onto the shirt, paint the shirt with fabric paint over the mesh board, let it dry, and take off the mesh. Then you will get something like this!

Sew or glue on sparkly gems or mirrors onto a solid colored bag.

Cut off the sleeves of an old denim jacket to turn it into a denim vest.

Quickly (but securely) sew on a diamond shaped stud or some other embellishment onto some cool heels.

Get a small metal box, glue on cool trinkets-jewels-beads, etc. Now you have an awesome metal clutch!

Sew your own cute little makeup bag or wallet. (or use this concept and make an oversized pencil case style clutch)

Get a base ring and glue on a cute little anchor button.
